8 Tips to avoid Scam PTC sites

PTC sites are risky business. Especially people when are not experienced in PTC sites are very vulnerable and can easily loose their money with scam PTC sites. The truth is that almost 98% of PTC sites will not survive more than 6 months. It is usually because their earning structure system is not sustainable, or the admin is simply a "professional" scammer who's only intention to start PTC site is to scam people and steal their money.



That's why I decided to create this 8 Steps guideline which should help people to avoid future scam PTC sites.



1. Don't join non-customized sites

When finding a new site, look at the layout, is it good, or bad?

This may not seem like a key factor, but it most definitely is.

If the layout is very bad(visually), they probably didn't put much time into it.

This means they either can't design, or just don't care.

Also if they are running the same old "bux" layout with a new banner, keep away.

You want to find a site that is custom and in it for the long haul.

If they were in it for the long haul they would make their site unique.



2. Avoid sites of past scammers

If the site owner is known to of scammed in the past, don't join.

The site owner may have an excuse or decided to "change his ways", but don't buy it.

If they have scammed once, they will scam again, don't take the risk, ever.



3. Don't purchase anything

If you find a new site that seems to look okay and your considering purchasing something, don't.

If the site is brand new with no real userbase or even payment proofs, don't join.

Even if you hear people sing praises about getting payments, don't.

Most scam sites pay out tons and tons quickly right away, then it just stops.

Let the site be online for at least 6 months before purchasing to be safe.



4. Don't use sites without support/forums

If the site doesn't have a good support system or forums where an admin is active, don't use it.

This is the key way users and admins speak to each other and if it doesn't exist, they don't care.

You should be able to get in contact with the owner within 48 hours at any time.



5. Check Whois information

Every time new website is registered, all personal information (name, address,...) which owner of the new website use to register are published at whois.com. This apply for all PTC sites as well.

So before you join the PTC site, look at whois information about the owner. If the owner published suspicious (obviously not true) information, or the information are hiden, the owner probably want to hide something, that is not good for PTC site credibility.



6. Investigate F.A.Q and T.O.S

In F.A.Q and T.O.S. section of every PTC site you can find out all conditions and rules of PTc site. In the case you find incorrect information in F.A.Q and T.O.S. (such as different minimum payout or different payment period), be careful.



7. It is too good to be true

Look at the pay per click sum, if it is more than $ 0.01 it is most probably not sustainable to survive.



8. Ask at PTC forums

So, how can you get referrals?

In the world of making money from PTCs, it’s a known fact that you won’t be making any big amount in a short period of time without any referrals under you.

Generally, there are two types of referrals. The first one is a referral that you acquire through your referral links and banners, otherwise called as direct referral. In a real world, there are plenty of them. If you are good at spreading your referral links and banners and convincing people, you’ll get lots of direct referrals in no time. Unfortunately, getting direct referrals is not an easy task for most.

1) Traffic Exchanges

A Traffic Exchange or Hit Exchange as they are also known is a real Traffic Alternative. Basically you receive exposure for your own web site, banner ads, and even text links by viewing the sites and ads of other people.

Before you click away if you are thinking I do not have time to view other peoples sites, I must tell you that you do not have to as all exchanges sell advertising so if your shor t on time you can buy ads without any work.

The second one is called rented referral. They are the easiest referrals one could make, provided that you have money to spend. That’s because rented referrals can be acquired for a price. Most PTC sites get unreferred members (those that didn’t register under anyone). These members are sold or rented by PTCs in packs for a price. When bought / rented, they will earn for you with the clicks they make for 30 days. After that, they expire. You can either pay again to renew your referrals service so they’ll continue earning for you in the next 30, 60, or 90 days depending on the renewal periods available from your PTC. A referral for rent generally cost around 30 cents or less for one month (prices may be higher in some PTC sites that I haven’t joined yet, I’m not sure).

Here are some useful tips which you could use when renting referrals to avoid wasting money and start profiting from it:

1. As a rule of thumb, many high-earning PTC users don’t invest anything from their pockets when it comes to PTCs. They’d rather earn first what they need to invest in the site than spend their own cash and go scratching their heads when the site goes haywire the next day. Start from scratch. Then start spending once you’ve acquired the amount necessary to buy the smallest pack of referrals. It might be a slow start but you can brag about the fact that you started from scratch and made it big in a PTC site without investing any money except hard work and your time.

2. Rent referrals only from trusted sites. It’s a sad fact that there are PTC sites that sell bots instead of real people as referrals. If this happens, the bot will click minimally or stop altogether. Before doing any referral buying, make sure that the site can be trusted in terms of renting referrals. 3. You must be able to recycle your referrals. Recycling means replacing a referral for a new one, especially if it’s underperforming. If there’s no recycling of referrals available for you to do manually, better rethink buying referrals. It’ll be just a waste of money.

If you always leave your funds empty, next thing you know you’re out of referrals as you can’t renew nor buy new ones because you don’t have funds anymore.

5. Manage your referrals regularly. Have time to look at your rented referrals. Recycle the underperformers and keep the ones that regularly make you money. Recycling, by the way, costs also so if you’re out of funds because of cashing out all of it too early, you’ll be stuck with your underperforming referral until they expire. Recycling underperformers might cost you but it will only be a minimal amount which you could earn back if you get a replacement referral that clicks more ads. Use common sense when recycling underperformers. You might have a referral that used to click the maximum number of ads then suddenly stops clicking for three days. Don’t recycle them immediately just because of this. They could be on a vacation or having some momentary trouble and then return to their usual clicking later on. Always think that it’s hard to come by referrals that religiously click all the time.

6. Always make sure to renew your referrals that perform better for another month or two. Like I said earlier, it’s hard to come by good clickers especially during these times when rentable referrals get sold out fast in just a few minutes. So always make sure that they stay with you for a long time.

7. Save up for buying more referrals. This is to make more bucks faster.

8. Always click your ads. Don’t miss it. You’ll be wasting potential earnings if you miss out even a day.

9. If you can finally afford one, upgrade your account to get more out of your referrals and personal clicks.

10. Don’t forget to do some math all the time. Always make sure that you get back the amount you spent for your referrals and make profit also. Always remember that you need to grow in terms of earnings and not just merely survive inside any PTC program.

2) Check on the "View Advertisements" page, and on the top, it tells you what time your ads reset. This will be your local time. NeoBux ads don't make you wait 24 hours, starting from the last time you clicked it, before you can click it again. They reset the same time (give or take a few minutes) everyday. For me, that time is 4:30 PM, so if I click all my ads before then, whatever ads are not expired by the time 4:30 comes around, I can click them all again.



3) When you earn your first $1.00, transfer to your rental balance, and rent 3 referrals right away, at a cost of $0.90. Each ref is $0.30 and can be rented in packs of 3, 10 and higher. Leave AutoPay disabled. If you are a standard member, your rented refs have to click at least 2 ads a day in their 30-day lifespan, in order for you to earn back your $0.90. In the 30 days you have them, if they all click a combined total of more than 180 ads, then anything above 180 is profit in your account.



4) You can rent refs once every 7 days, so give your first batch 1 week, and see how they are clicking. If they all have an average of 2.000 or higher, then rent another 3 as soon as you can. You should have enough in your balance to transfer another $1.00 to your rental balance by the time you can rent again.



If you get through your first 30 days, and your initial 3 refs are still clicking, and making you money, then you will soon notice a snowball effect to your earnings. The more refs you rent, the more you will make, and the faster you will make it.
